Home Group Ministry

"Day after day, in the temple courts and from house to house, they never stopped teaching and proclaiming the good news that Jesus is the Christ." (Acts 5:42 NIV)

What is a Home Group? A gathering of people in the warmth & comfort of a home for the purpose of building and strengthening our fellowship with each other and our relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.

What are the benefits of being in a Home Group? By coming together periodically in such a setting, we have the opportunity to experience and demonstrate New Testament Christianity. Together we can share relevant biblical teaching; we can pray for, encourage and serve one another; and we can develop and use our God-given gifts and talents for the building up of each other and the church.

Are our Home Groups open? Yes - and you are welcome! As a Home Group grows to 12 or more regular members, and the Lord raises up new leaders, we will start a new group.  In this way we will be able to provide room, not only in our homes, but also in our hearts, for new friends. Members are encouraged to invite their friends and neighbors to come and enjoy the loving and healing experience of Christian fellowship.

Which Home Group is best for me? That depends.  Each group is unique. So, it's best to start by visiting one of the groups. When doing so, you are under no obligation to join. In fact, we encourage you to visit several groups before you decide where the Lord would have you commit. We want you to enjoy the fellowship of friends in the setting that best suits your needs and allows you to use the gifts God has given you.

Our Home Groups meet at various times and in various locations, so please call or email Pastor Jim Brown for the current schedule and further information. Our phone number is 757-436-2545.
